Ask Sharon: Our dreams may contain messages

This Ask Sharon (angel intuitive) column in The Area News today Friday 29 May, 2015 answers a question about the meaning and messages of our dreams.

The Ask Sharon column as it appeared in The Area News today Friday 29 May, 2015.

Following is a copy of the full version of the column featured in The Area News complete with the Key card from the Fortune Reading Cards.

THIS week Leanne asked:

“I have weird dreams. Is there a message in them?”

I’m not a dream expert but Australian author Leon Nacson is. He writes, “It’s in our dreams, and the change in rhythm of our minds, that we often tap into emotions that may have been trying to get our attention…Identifying the emotions that pop up in our dreams provides a wonderful opportunity to connect with how we feel, and to better understand where we’re at and what is happening in our lives.”

The fact that you have enquired about your dreams means you are aware that there is something more to this life, something more than the tangible. I see our dreams as a portal into our true self in the same way that meditation can reveal the answers to all that we seek.

From an intuitive perspective, if your dreams have been ‘weird’ it could indicate that something is out of order or out of balance in your life. I definitely feel there is a message here. You will instinctively know which area of your life your dreams are trying to draw your attention to.

Many of us are fascinated by dreams and their meanings. Because of this I’ve added some dream references at the end of this column.

Thinking about your question further, I drew the “Key” card from the Fortune Reading Cards by Sharina Star. “This card represents a new way of living opening up to you. It is filled with promises and fresh starts but first you need to let go of the past.”

The Key card is from Sharina Star’s Fortune Reading Cards deck. It was drawn to help answer a question about the meaning and messages of our dreams.

I see the interpretation of your dreams as a key to unlocking an issue from your past. This can pave the way for great healing and clarity. Then you will be truly open for wonderful, new experiences life has to offer.

Tips on how to decode the dream:

  • Start a dream journal and make notes upon waking when your mind can usually recall the details.
  • Research the meaning of different dreams and see what resonates with you.
  • Be open to the possibility that interpreting your dreams can be a powerful and positive way to improve areas of your life.

Lately, I’ve had dreams where I’m searching for something. My understanding is this can indicate a loss but maybe it’s time I look into that deeper. Now if I could just find my Dream Dictionary…
