Embrace life’s challenges
THIS week Ken asked:
“I missed out on a job I needed so what now?”
I was drawn to the “New Beginnings” card from the Archangel Power Tarot deck.
When something like this happens, it can feel overwhelming. Never mind the disappointment – questions of paying the bills naturally surface. We think we don’t have time to stop and take stock. We think we have to quickly move on to the next thing. We consider taking jobs we know we wouldn’t like just to keep the dollars rolling in.
Yet, these are the perfect moments to reassess where you are heading and what you want out of life. It can seem unrealistic during a crisis to think of it as a gift, or a blessing, but that’s exactly what it is.
When you swap doubts and fears for trust and courage, you are tapping into a powerful energy within. You are tapping into the essence of your true self and the answers you seek.
Recently my business was affected by something I had no control over. All I could do was allow the right people with the right expertise to help me at the right time. Meanwhile, I chose to see it as an opportunity to get my house in order…literally. It made me feel better and helped me let go. Then the solution presented itself.
So my new saying is, “Everything is always working out for me.” It provides me with a necessary injection of optimism without the unnecessary details.
Consider these famous words by American Writer, Joseph Campbell, “We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us”.
Tips for turning obstacles into opportunities:
- Trust it will work out for the best – you’ve landed on your feet before and you will again.
- Be open to new directions – pay attention to signs, coincidences and inner nudges.
- Swap fear of the unknown to excitement of what could be.
- Revisit projects and hobbies that make you feel good – in the very least it will take your mind off worrying.
Before you know it someone will cross your path seeking your skills and talents and you will wonder what all the stress was about.

I see coincidence all the time.I’m confuse to these coincidence i see in my life bc i am torn between two people and im in love with one person and the one i have been with for 9 yrs I don’t feel for him like i used to.The person im in love with is married and I know its wrong but my feelings for him is strong I quess i should move on and to break it off and do work out my 9 yr relationship with my other half.
Firstly Monique I must apologise for the delay in responding. Coincidence – or what I refer to as serendipity – can feel amazing in the moment and make us feel we are on the right path for sure. While we might have intuition about why something has happened or why we’ve crossed paths with a particular someone, we won’t necessarily know all the details. As humans, we were also given the gift of discernment. And that means at certain times in our life we need to decipher what action to take based on truth and integrity. As you say, you know it is wrong to be involved with a married man. We can be clouded by our emotions, especially when it comes to relationships. I personally am always of the opinion that if you have feelings for someone other than your current partner, it is wise to first sever ties with the person you are in a relationship with. You’ve only got to put yourself in your partner’s position to see how you’d feel if it was the other way around. I’m sure you don’t want to hurt anyone in the process. I’m sure you’d agree that betrayal and deceit are toxic emotions and can only bring heartache, even if in the moment it feels hard to resist. I encourage you to take some time to decide what you really want to do. You need to follow your heart, but there are definitely steps you can take to ease the pain for all involved, including yourself because of the guilt. I wish you all the best, I hope this advice helps and hasn’t come too late.
